Craving!

I'm suddenly craving a refried bean burrito, on a flour tortilla, mexican four cheese, and avacado. And if I had room for side dishes after consuming at least three burritos, I would have jasmine rice and brocolli. Yummmmm.

So I'm off to the store on my way home!

Life is Racing!

Here is the run down....

Vacation was fabulous! We had "cold" weather. And by that I mean, low to mid 60's. Not the -22 that I left behind here in Maine. Seriously?! -22 degrees!? WTF?

I had a great birthday because my fiance got home from sea that day and I got to spend some quality time with him. Then our group of 7 went out for sushi, walked Duval St with drinks in hand, then went back to our rented house and played drinking games in the kitchen till late in the night. We laughed our asses off while playing quarters on a glass table.

The next day I went sky diving. Yup. I went skydiving. And what's more? I LOVED IT! I had a smile on my face the whole ride up in the plane and even for the freefall and especially once my chute opened. Mark bought me my video as a birthday gift. It's a great video. I'll post it here when I get a free minute. Ha.

After vacation Mark and I got a puppy! Yup, we finally got one. His full name is Killian Irish Blue and we have no clue what breed he is. We're hoping he's a Blue Heeler mix, but he looks more like a Catahoula Leopard Dog. Hopefully he stays on the small side. He's smart and quickly learning that we're his pack leaders and NOT to pee in the house. But he's doing really well so far. We just love him to pieces.

We HIGHLY recommend Planet Dog here in Portland, Maine. If you're ever visiting or live in the area and you have a dog, it's a must stop.

So with the dog and life in general, life is flying. I'll write when I get the chance and I'll post pictures.

Loving life.

Vacation!

Ok, so I know I don't post as often as I should. But I really won't be posting next week. That's right, I'm going on vacation.

Tomorrow me and three friends are hopping a direct flight from Portland to Orlando where another friend will pick us up and drive us to Daytona. We drink and enjoy the warmth for an evening.

Then hop in the truck, attach the boat trailer, and drive for about 8 hours to Key West. Where we pull into the drive way of our lovely rented home that sleeps 12 and has it's own boat dock. Right in the heart of Key West.

Two days later, my love arrives! Fresh from work and ready for a break. We, of course, having been separated for the last 4 weeks will be oblivious to the rest of the group. :)

Then we spend endless days boating, beaching, drinking, sunning, snorkeling and sleeping.

There will be an end at some point, but I'm not going to think about it.

Puppy Love

Ok. So I don't want to jinx it, but Mark and I might have found our puppy. Really keep your fingers crossed this time.

He's a he and he's adorable! (Of course he is, they all are.) :o)

Here's the run down.

Vacation all next week in Florida, from 17th to 25th. Mark in a convertible. Me on a beach. Us and friends on a boat. Look out Key West! Here we come!

Jan 29th Mark gets home. Pick up puppy on the 30th?! We hope so!

Ta ta for now!

Rye Pup 2

I've given up. She's been adopted. Maybe I'm not meant to have a dog.

Best of luck sweet girl. I'll miss you (even though I never met you).

Rye Puppy

So, Mark and I found a puppy we both love on Petfinder.com. I filled out the online adoption form and then called the shelter. I wanted to go visit the pup and see if she would be right for us. Well. We have to fill out an application to even visit. Ok, done. We have to be able to bring home the puppy the DAY we meet her. Ok, well we can't do that. We won't be ready to bring the little one home till the 30th, when we get back from Florida. I understand that they don't hold dogs so that they can rescue more, but seriously. A few weeks and the girl would have a home. Frustrating.

So while we're on vacation in Key West, we're going to have to get online and see if she's still available. If so, we can get her. If not, we have to begin the hunt all over again. For the THIRD time.

Keep your fingers crossed for us! I want this little girl badly.
